Who we are
TournPadel is a platform for organizing and playing padel tournaments. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. For anything privacy-related, contact us at jorge.sotomayor@syftwarelda.com.
Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, username and authentication identifiers, managed through our sign-in provider Clerk. Player profile: the details you choose to add, such as gender, playing hand, court position, avatar and bio. Organizer and club data: club details, roster roles, and ownership-proof documents you upload when claiming a club. Activity data: tournaments you create or join, match scores, standings and notifications. Billing data: your subscription plan and its status. Payments are processed by Stripe — your card details never reach our servers. Content you upload: images such as avatars, covers and post photos. Location labels: approximate, text-based locations for clubs and communities (never GPS tracking). Usage data: pseudonymous product analytics linked to your account identifier, collected without cookies.
Why we process it
We process your data to provide the service (running tournaments, registrations, standings — performance of our contract with you), to operate paid subscriptions (contract and legal obligations), to send notifications you control from your settings, to keep the platform safe (legitimate interest), and to understand product usage through privacy-preserving analytics (legitimate interest).
Who processes it for us
We rely on a small set of processors: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email), Pusher (real-time updates), UploadThing (file storage), Google Maps (location search) and PostHog, hosted in the EU (analytics). Each receives only the data needed for its role.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for signing you in (set by Clerk) and a single preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your language. Our analytics does not use cookies or persistent device identifiers.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account exists. Tournament results you took part in may remain visible in other users' histories after you leave. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time via jorge.sotomayor@syftwarelda.com.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask for a portable copy; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is based on it. Write to jorge.sotomayor@syftwarelda.com and we will respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD.
International transfers
Some processors may handle data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Children
TournPadel is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
